R&D Accessory Lead & Engineering Lead
Orantech Inc. · R&D Engineering Department
Dual role spanning OEM custom development and compatible-accessory engineering
Kyle Lan graduated from Nanchang University with a degree in Mechatronics. With 18 years of experience in the cable and medical electronics industry — 16 of them dedicated to patient monitoring accessories — he brings deep, hands-on expertise to every stage of the product lifecycle, from concept and compatibility design to manufacturing transfer.
As R&D Accessory Lead & Engineering Lead at Orantech Inc., Kyle leads the development of a complete range of monitoring consumables — SpO2 sensors, ECG lead wires, temperature probes, and fetal monitoring transducers — across technical R&D, multi-brand compatibility design, and mass-production transfer. He has built a compatibility engineering platform spanning seven major monitoring brands: GE, Philips, Spacelabs, Nihon Kohden, Draeger, Masimo, and Mindray.
Kyle holds a dual leadership role spanning both product development and engineering operations. As R&D Accessory Lead, he runs two concurrent development tracks — compatible aftermarket accessories (parts engineered to match major OEM platforms) and OEM custom development (cables and accessories designed and built for monitor manufacturers). As Engineering Lead, he oversees the engineering team and the full design-to-manufacturing transfer, ensuring every design — whether OEM or compatible — is manufacturable, validated, and compliant. Kyle is proficient in the full IQ/OQ/PQ process validation workflow and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) design. He has twice passed FDA on-site audits as the core engineering member responsible for process and design-transfer documentation. He holds a PMP certification and an IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIT (Certified IPC Trainer) qualification.
